Privacy policy

This site is small. We collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what.

What we collect

When you visit alexi.guide, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard server metadata for security and performance purposes — including your IP address, the page you requested, the time of the request, and your browser and device characteristics. Cloudflare retains this data on its own schedule.

If Google Analytics is enabled on the site, we collect aggregate, anonymised usage information — pages viewed, approximate location at the country level, referring source, and session duration. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

We do not run a contact form, comment system, or newsletter on this site. We do not ask you to create an account. If that changes, this page will change with it.

What we do not collect

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information — unless you choose to email us.
• Health information. Reading an article on this site does not create a clinical record.
• Anything you type into the alexithymia screening tools we link to. Those tools are run by third parties; their privacy practices are their own.
• Payment information. The guide is sold by Gumroad. Your card details go to Gumroad and never touch this site.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies via Cloudflare for security (for example, to detect automated traffic). If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets analytics cookies under _ga and related names. You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting your ability to read the articles.

We rely on these services:

• Gumroad — sells and delivers the Emotional Colourblindness guide. They handle payments and download delivery. Privacy policy: gumroad.com/privacy

Children

The articles on this site are written for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has interacted with this site, contact us and we will delete any associated data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data held about you, or to object to or restrict processing. Because we do not collect identifiable personal data, requests of this kind will typically not return any results — but you are welcome to ask. Contact details are below.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change. Substantive changes will be flagged at the top.
