Terms of use
Last updated: 1 May 2026
By using this site, you agree to the terms below. They are short and they say what you probably already assume.
Draft notice. These terms are a working draft. Review with a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before relying on them.
About this site
alexi.guide is a small editorial site published by Emotionally Colourblind (“we”, “us”). We publish long-form essays on alexithymia — emotional colourblindness — and we sell a written guide on the subject through Gumroad.
This is not medical advice
Everything on this site is for information and reflection. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice. Reading an article here does not create a clinical relationship between you and any author. The screening instruments we describe (TAS-20, Perth Alexithymia Questionnaire, OAQ-G2, BVAQ) are research and self-screening tools — they do not diagnose anyone.
If you are in distress, please contact a qualified clinician or a crisis service in your country: Lifeline (Australia) 13 11 14, Samaritans (UK) 116 123, 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US/Canada) 988.
Use of the articles
The articles on this site are copyright Emotionally Colourblind. You are welcome to read them, share links to them, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not republish full articles, translate them, or train automated systems on them without written permission. To request permission, write to us at the address below.
Buying the guide
The Emotional Colourblindness guide is sold and delivered by Gumroad. When you buy it, you enter a contract with Gumroad for payment and delivery, and a separate licence with us for the guide itself.
The licence is simple: the guide is for your personal use. You may keep your own copies on your own devices, print it for your own reading, and share short excerpts with attribution. You may not redistribute the file in full, sell it, or upload it to a training corpus.
Refunds are handled by Gumroad under their refund policy. If something has gone wrong with your purchase, contact Gumroad first. If you have an issue with the content of the guide itself, write to us.
Third-party links
Articles on this site link to research papers, screening tools, and other resources we do not control. We have no responsibility for their content, availability, or privacy practices.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage caused by your use of this site or the guide, including any decision you make on the basis of something you read here. The site and the guide are provided “as is”.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, the “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without reference to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of New South Wales.
